Humble Origins
About
Founded in 2012, Soaptale is a Jakarta-based artisan soap brand dedicated to crafting 100% natural, high-quality soap by hand. Every bar we create is thoughtfully made using the traditional Cold-Process method — a slow and careful technique that preserves the goodness of natural oils, butters, and botanicals.

Our story began within the Soaptale family home. One of our youngest family members struggled with severe skin irritation from commercial soaps — dry, itchy, and sensitive skin that no product seemed to soothe. After countless trials and recommendations, we took a closer look at what was inside those soaps and discovered the truth: they were packed with harsh, synthetic ingredients like SLS, EDTA, and Sodium Benzoate.

We asked ourselves — why should something we use every single day be filled with chemicals we can’t even pronounce?
So, we decided to make our own.

What started as a small family experiment soon became a passion: to craft soap the way it’s meant to be — pure, honest, and kind to the skin. Today, Soaptale continues that promise by blending luxurious natural ingredients, gentle formulations, and timeless craftsmanship into every bar.
